Talk, Head Brewer Jon Kielty will be on hand for the event as well as Phoenix Bakehouse’ Sarah Hoffman. We will be releasing 2 new beers that day. One will be the SQ Ft Day collaboration beer. The other will be a Kvass collaboration with Phoenix Bakehouse. Sarah will be selling loaves of spent grain bread made with 100% NY grains and spent grain from the collaboration brew. We will also be featuring other 100% NY State beers.

We’ll be busy with regular business on a Saturday. But, plan on giving out samples of bread and to illustrate what goes into a loaf of our bread through some signage and with someone available to talk about the local grain that goes into our bread.

Talk, Tour, Live Music! We will be collaborating with Rabbit Hill Farms/ Malthouse and Bullock Farms (our farm) to host a Meet the Farmer Maltster and Brewer event. We will offer a brewery tour, and farm tour as well as having Rabbit Hill there to introduce the malting process and explain why it’s so important. Farming equipment will be on display for people to climb around on and learn about. All of our beer at Screamin’ Hill is made with our own barley, or Rabbit Hills barley, so our beer will be the local grain offering.

We will be offering mill tours where folks can watch their flour being milled and bring home a bag of freshly milled flour. We will be joined by @pizzaprojectboston and @standardbagel as well as some other guest bakers to highlight the amazing work with local grains in our food.
